EAM PRESERVATION
Good Shepherd Episcopal Church
From its dedication in the Spring of 1894, Good Shepherd Episcopal Church has served the African American population of Thomasville, GA as a house of worship, a community center, a library, a neighborhood kitchen and a school.
Thomasville Landmarks and The Good Shepherd congregation commissioned a comprehensive condition's assessment to document the three structure site and identify important preservation issues.
The buildings, materials and interior finishes, particularly the remarkably well preserved classrooms in the Parish Hall are a powerful reminder of a different era, defined by realities.
The finished report included architectural elevations, floor and framing plans, material analysis, a complete window survey and 3D models.
